They are both guys in their 20s and both have graced their share of teen magazine covers. Other than that, it's hard to imagine comparisons between "Dancing With the Stars" contestant Aaron Carter and "Twilight" heartthrob Robert Pattinson. But "DWTS" judge Bruno Tonioli did just that on Monday night's episode.
Carter took the stage to reclaim the high praise he'd earned in previous weeks. And when he did the tango with his partner, pro dancer Karina Smirnoff, it seemed to work.
When he finished his routine, he was enthusiastically rewarded with compliments from the judges.
"It was a little like watching Robert Pattinson tangoing in 'Twilight'!" Tonioli told the singer. Carter and Smirnoff later received a score of 24 out of 30, placing fourth for the night, tying with Joanna Krupa and Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Kelly Osbourne and Louis Van Amstel.
Despite her score, Osbourne had a less positive evening. E! News reports that she injured herself when the buckle of her shoe slammed into her foot during her paso doble to dad Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train." Although she stayed for the entire episode, even performing the group hustle at the end shoeless, she was rushed to Cedars-Sinai hospital after the show. There has been no word on how badly she was hurt. Her dad was reportedly with her when she was taken to the hospital.
"At the end of our paso doble, Kelly banged her foot on the floor, which may have caused an injury," van Amstel, told E! News. "She is at the hospital right now to take an X-ray and an MRI to make sure she will be OK to dance. Kelly will keep me updated on her prognosis."
On Tuesday night's episode, as fans wait to hear if Kelly and her fellow stars will make it through to the next round, the "DWTS" pros will stage a Michael Jackson tribute.
