Tickets go on sale tomorrow for separate summer performances in Ottawa by comedian Chris Rock and the Backstreet Boys.
Rock performs July 17 at the National Arts Centre. The 43-year-old Saturday Night Live alumnus and former Academy Awards host has been voted the fifth greatest standup comedian of all time by Comedy Central.
About a recent televised Rock performance, Canwest News Service television writer Alex Strachan wrote: "The language is rough at times, but never gratuitous. Behind the raw emotion and flashes of anger is a cool calculation and a genuine gift for comic timing."
Tickets range from $72 to $88 at the NAC box office and through TicketMaster.
The Backstreet Boys perform in an Aug. 4 concert at Scotiabank Place.
In its 15-year career, the pop band has sold more than 75 million albums worldwide, led by hits such as Quit Playing Games (with My Heart) and All I Have To Give.
Tickets range from $39.50 to $69.50 at the Scotiabank Place box office and through www.capitaltickets.ca.
